IT basic knowledge for refugees
In almost every profession today it is a question of using the computer: writing letters, calculating tables or simply collecting data. Also special application software depending on the profession requires basic knowledge of a computer.
You want to learn this knowledge in the IT world in the office sector in order to be fit for an entry into the labor market? We help you!
We will coach you if you:
• recognized as being entitled to asylum
• pursue an education or work place
• speak German sufficiently, i. A conversation in slow, simple German is possible
• if you are interested in using a laptop
The Initiative Project: Integration through Education and Work supports you in learning. We lend you a laptop for 3 months. A coach meets with you during this time and explains the most important things in about 20 hours: he will show you how to use the calculator, how to program programs, administer your files and make simple settings. He will teach you how to write letters with Word and research on the Internet. You may also want to look at tables in Excel and presentations in PowerPoint. Additional teaching material can be borrowed and should help you practice regularly on your own. The coaches are people like you and me who want to help you build your life in Germany and to pursue a profession in Germany.
Your coaching will be officially completed after 3 months. Coach and laptop are no longer available for you.
